iDC was delighted to win a widely entered competitive pitch to provide Graphic Design support for Birmingham City Council’s ‘Transport Behaviour Change’ department. We were the ideal agency to partner with, as over the years we have gained vast experience working on various behavioural change projects for Sustrans, Solihull Switch, TravelWise and Bike North Birmingham.
iDC was immediately tasked to work on Birmingham Cycle Revolution (BCR) – an ambitious 20-year plan to enable cycling to become a mainstream form of transport across the whole city.
We firstly had to create an instantly recognisable and powerful logo together with a brand identity that was unique and resonated with ‘maybe cyclists’. With comprehensive brand guidelines in place, we then designed a huge array of items for BCR including; outdoor advertising, branded uniforms and gazebos, banner stands, signage, leaflets, guides, activity programmes, route maps, posters, press adverts, social media post graphics and even an educational bike themed game for schools. You can view just a small snippet of work here.
Despite working to incredibly tight deadlines for some individual design briefs, we always ensured we met deadlines with careful project planning and produced engaging, well thought out marketing collateral with the sole aim of getting more bums on saddles. BCR has been a very successful project leaving behind a strong legacy of which iDC is incredibly proud to have been part of.
If you have a behavioural change project in mind, no matter how large or small, you can be assured that you’ll be in good hands with iDC.
