We would like to introduce to you our latest project, Yakinori, the brand new sister company of Birmingham born Japanese restaurant Woktastic. Noodle and sushi lovers alike have eagerly anticipated the expansion of the Woktastic family, and we’ve worked hard not to disappoint!

Working alongside tremendously talented, up and coming illustrator ‘Geo Law’, we’ve created a vibrant new brand without losing the element of fun inspired by Woktastic.

You can check out our work at Yakinori, Selly Oak restaurant, just a short distance from the City Centre and on the doorstep of the University of Birmingham’s Selly Oak and Edgbaston campuses. Located in the impressive new Grand Central Station, a second Yakinori restaurant will be open for business from Thursday 24th September 2015, bringing an authentic taste of Japan to the heart of Birmingham.

While working hard to create a new brand for Yakinori, we’ve also been focused on one final ‘top secret’ project. Woktastic will be returning to a brand new central Birmingham location later this year, bigger and better than ever before, bringing with it the same great food, and an exciting new look.

We have been busy!

By Richie DembovskisMarch 12th, 2014BlogNo Comments

After coming across Charlotte’s appeal on Facebook for a kind hearted individual to help get her new business off the ground with barely any budget but bags of excitement and enthusiasm, MD Richard decided that after another successful year for iDC it was time to give something back. He got in touch with Charlotte, idea’s already brewing and offered the assistance of iDC, free of charge, in getting her canine care business up and running. Needless to say, free advice and assistance for any start up business is invaluable so we’ve caught up with Charlotte to find out how it has improved the ‘start up’ experience for her.

Keeping it local – iDC rebrand McDermotts Civil Engineering

By Richie DembovskisJune 3rd, 2012BlogNo Comments

iDC were approached by McDermotts, a groundworks and civil engineering company based in Birmingham, in the summer of 2011 to embark on a rebrand and the creation of a new website that encapsulated who McDermotts are and what they do; but more importantly to give insight into the great team behind their name and its company values.

We began developing a mark that is distinctly McDermotts. The final logo design simply incapsulates what they do, the solid M with a highlight on the foundation of the mark is instantly recognisable and unique. It’s very rare such a simple mark can communicate exactly what a company does and as soon as it was created everyone involved knew it was the right identity for McDermotts.

Company director, Marie McDermott, states “Working with iDC has proved to be a refreshing experience that has led to positive results and favourable recognition from our staff, suppliers and customers.”

McDermotts new website is a hub of information covering every aspect of the Company. Working alongside top local photographer Steph Simmons, the new website has developed into one of iDC‘s biggest website projects and we are very proud of the results. See it for yourself here.

Please keep an eye out for a full case study on McDermotts coming soon on the iDC website.

iDC launches Waldrons Solicitors new website

By Richie DembovskisApril 6th, 2011BlogNo Comments

iDC are pleased to have launched Waldrons Solicitors brand new website.

Founded in 1867, Waldrons Solicitors are a respected law firm that offers specialist legal services to individual and business clients across the West Midlands and Worcestershire.

iDC was invited to take part in a competitive pitch in November 2010 after the partners felt that their old site was no longer working for them. Shortly after the pitch process, we received the fantastic news that iDC were appointed to take the web project to fruition.

One of the main requirements of the new site was that it utilised a Content Management System (CMS), which would give Waldrons the freedom and flexibility to easily update online content in-house. With this in mind we built the website on the incredibly powerful and secure, ASP.Net CMS platform called Sitefinity. A globally proven platform that is used by a number of Fortune 500 companies like Coca-Cola, Mercedes-Benz and other renowned government, healthcare and non-profit organisations.

Other key requirements for the site was to make it visually engaging, incredibly easy to navigate, (allowing users to find relevant information in two clicks or less), and make it SEO friendly in every way possible.

The site is performing incredibly well and both Waldrons Solicitors and iDC are very pleased with the results.
